Guy Piazza Memorial Run

Amy Azzopardi from the Early Ford Hot Rod Club recently got into contact with us about the Guy Piazza Memorial Run. Guy 'Shorty' Piazza was taken from us earlier this year, and left behind a young family. The Early Ford guys are holding a memorial run on 17 October, with all the proceeds going to Guy's family. The night will feature an auction and raffle, with some exciting prizes already lined up. Party time!

Dan from Mirrabooka in Perth sent us these great pics, from his mate Darryl's 50th birthday bash. The fire brigade even came along to check out the proceedings at one point, after the report of a shed fire from a concerned neighbour! The birthday boy is in the HQ tonner, with Jake in the Charger and Steve in the Dodge pickup. And a happy birthday to Daryl from the SM crew!

The October issue of Street Machine is one sale tomorrow, with Chris Retzos's stunning '57 Chev on the cover. The Chev was built by Shane Rowe and his team at Southern Rod and Custom, and as this pic shows, they have a few more sweet rides in the build as well.

Shop Tour

The Macquarie Towns Hot Rod Club once again invited us along to their regular mid-week shop visits. This one was to Wholesale Suspension in Penrith, who boast an impressive set up. Wholesale do all types of suspension work, and one off custom work is no problem.

A number of the rodders present put their cars up on the hoist to have the guys give it a once over. This provided a unique opportunity to get underneath the cars and check out up close how they had been set up. Throw in some snags on the barbeque and you've got a top mid-week night out.
