Holden's Coupe 60 concept, unveiled at today's Melbourne Motorshow. The pillarless coupe is 60mm shorter than a VE sedan, rolls on 21 centre-lock rims and has a very trick interior. Just don't upset anyone and call it a Monaro.
Ken Stephenson from Towoomba debuted his new FED at the Shannon's Nostalgia Drags this weekend past. The car is powered by a Holden 186...force-fed by a rare Norman supercharger! Running mechanical injection, the whole schebang was gorgeous to behold and fast too, with Ken running 9.6 @ 135mph in practice. More on this car and the history of Norman blowers in future issues of Street Machine and the 2008 Hot Rod Annual.

Wollongong's Mick Voase has been a mainstay of the Pro Street scene for decades. His LX Torana hatch has always been quick and currently holds the Number One spot in Modified Street Blown, with a best of 8.15 @ 173mph, thanks to a nitrous-assisted 582ci big block Chev. More importantly, Mick knows how to win races and has amassed a pile of trophies in both heads up and dail-your-own competition. 2008 looks like being the biggest year yet for Mick and his hatch. At the inaugral Vic Supercruz, he won both the dyno comp and the Go-to-Whoa. He returned to Calder last weekend for the National Bracket Championships, where he not only ran 8.30s on street tyres to win the $2500 Pro Radial class, but then defeated the winners of every other class in a overall shootout. The prize? A brand new Holden Rodeo! For more info about the meeting, check out www.exesivemotorsports.com.au
Paul Zajakovski loves Fridays - he knows that when he goes home, this is what is waiting for him! The car is a '66 Mustang, powered by a blown 351 Windsor. She looks old-school, but under the Enderle Bugcatcher hides an EMS EFI set up. It is pretty trick underneath too, with four-spot calipers all 'round, rack and pinion steering and coil over shocks out back.
This is Canberra International Dragway as of last weekend. What a waste! It is just sitting there - beside an airport - while the town fathers continue to do nothing about the lack of quarter mile action in our nation's capital. Grrr!
